Busy days rarely leave room for long breaks. But slowing down doesn’t have to mean stopping. Often it means noticing — the breath, the body, the next small step.
Pause between things
Before you open the next email or join the next call, take one slower breath. Feel your feet on the floor. It takes seconds, and it gives your nervous system a small signal that you are not in danger.
Rest isn’t a reward for finishing. It’s part of how we keep going.
Make one thing smaller
When everything feels urgent, choose one task and make it smaller: not “write the report” but “open the document and write one sentence.” Progress often follows a gentler start.
Drink something warm without your phone.
Step outside for two minutes of daylight.
Write down the three things that actually need to happen today.
