(01) Philosophy
Therapy works best when it feels like a conversation with someone who is genuinely curious about you — not a procedure done to you.
Our therapists come from different trainings, and they share a few simple commitments: to be warm and honest, to follow your pace, and to check regularly that the work is helping.
(02) Principles
Five things you can count on.

01
You set the pace.
You decide what to talk about and when. Nothing has to be shared before you’re ready.
02
Understanding before change.
We look at how things make sense for you before we look at what to do differently.
03
The relationship matters.
Feeling safe with your therapist is part of the work. If the fit isn’t right, we’ll help you change.
04
Practical, when you want it.
Reflection and practical tools can sit side by side. Your therapist will offer both, and ask what helps.
05
We check in, together.
Every so often we pause to review how things are going, and adjust the focus or rhythm with you.

(03) Ways of working
Different methods, one shared care.
Relational
Person-centred
Warm, non-judgemental attention to your experience, in your own words.
Practical
CBT-informed
Noticing links between thoughts, feelings and actions — and trying new responses.
Reflective
Psychodynamic
Understanding how earlier experiences may shape how we relate today.
Systemic
Family & couples
Looking at the patterns between people, not only within one person.
Prototype
List only the approaches your therapists are trained and qualified to offer.
(04) Honest expectations
What therapy can — and can’t — offer.
We’d rather be clear from the start, so you can decide what’s right for you.
Therapy can offer
A regular, confidential space to reflect; a better understanding of your patterns; support to try new ways of responding; and someone steady alongside you through change.
Therapy isn’t
An emergency service, a quick fix, or advice on what you should do with your life. Progress is rarely a straight line, and that’s normal.
If you need urgent help
Please contact your local emergency number or crisis line. We’ll share where to find urgent support if we’re not the right service for you right now.
